Not sure about 'ex' Australian, think he is an Aussie still, just couldn't get large amount of money necessary to develop his technology in Australia. He had a company called Solar Heat and Power which initially installed solar thermal at Lidell Power Station. He did get some money from the Aussie government to develop the technology, and not sure how that project is going now. best of luck to him anyhow!
