Basically, we need to get carbon trading and standards right. This is not happening now and countries are still avoiding the issue. United States did not enter or adopt the Kyoto protocol. China and India, two of the largest carbon dioxide polluters did not sign the carbon emissions code of behavior which means it became a farce. The main goal was to cut greenhouse gases but without the commitment of big countries, particularly those with the most polluting industries, any scheme is just a waste of time and is of no value.

Not good or bad... by: Anonymous
With hardly any country that actually is adding to Global Warming signing the Carbon Trading Agreement, it is neither good or bad.
They aren't doing anything!

I agree.
Unfortunately so many people in high positions and in government are in the older generation and care only for wealth and power. They will always be known as the Denial Generation especially later on when we see the FULL affects of Global Warming.
Carbon trading isn't all we have to hope for though, awareness, education and plans within the communities and families will also contribute to the fight.
It isn't soon that we must act, it is NOW. It isn't just those in power that must do something, it is Everyone.
We can all take a stand with our wallets, buying only eco-friendly/green items, rallying, petitioning and spreading awareness. Talking among friends and family, getting local councils involved.
We can win this fight!
